There is always time for self-care. Self-care is a form of self-love and we can never do too much of something that makes us feel good. While it’s common to see self-care marketed as an expensive day at a beautiful day spa (which, don’t get us wrong - is absolutely divine!), there are plenty of simple ways to take some time out for yourself and in the comfort of your own home.

You may need to how to dedicate time for self-care practices if you are not taking enough time for yourself already. You can start with the most simple things, like inhaling your favourite essential oil every morning and this into a self-care ritual where you create your own home spa indulgence. We have put together some of our favourite self-care practices to give you ideas on how you can nurture yourself everyday.

Self-care for your body

  • Take a bath Add your favourite essential oil and unwind. Our favourites are Lavender, Rose 3%, Jasmine 3%, Chamomile 3% and Frankincense.
  • Apply a mask
  • Give your skin some love. Put your diffuser on, sit back and relax.
  • Stretch out aches
  • Lengthen your body and allow release of any strain.
  • Feeling sore? Rub a little Peppermint, Lavender, Clove Bud or Wintergreen essential oil with a carrier oil to your achy spots.
  • Self-soothe: Give yourself a massage by moisturising your body. Add a few drops of your favourite oil for the ultimate sensory experience.

Self-care for your mind

  • Be still for 5 minutes: Lay down or be seated in a comfortable position and let go.
  • Self-compliment: “You’re doing absolutely amazing!”
  • Go for a walk: With no intended destination, roam free.
  • Listen to a podcast: Let someone else do the talking.
  • Declutter your space: Start with one room and slowly move to another. If you need storage for your oils, try one of our beautiful wooden boxes.
  • Inhale an upbeat aroma: Find the oil you’re needing and let it help you. Whether it’s Energy, Sleep, Sinus Clear, Immune Support, Detox - there is an oil for everything!
  • Unplug for an hour: Switch off all devices for an hour.

Self-care for your soul

  • Meditate: Be mindful of your thoughts and not to wander, the dishes can wait. Grounding and calming essential oils such as Sandalwood, Frankincense and Cedarwood can help.
  • Yoga: Become in tune with what your body is needing.
  • Have a dance party with yourself: The easiest way to instantly feel good.
  • Go outside in the sun: Absorb nature's energy source - but please wear sunscreen!
  • Do some gratitude reflection: What are you grateful for today? Pop the diffuser on and make yourself a cup of tea while you journal.
  • Help/compliment someone: You’ll make their day and feed your soul.
  • Make a connection: Meet somebody new and be interested, you never know what you’ll learn from them.
