This month’s Oil Club is centred around emotional balance, hormonal wellbeing and everyday self-care. Lavender Pure Essential Oil: Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender Oil).

Outdoors Essential Oil Blend: Eucalyptus polybractea (Australian Eucalyptus Oil), Eucalyptus staigeriana (Lemon Ironbark Eucalyptus Oil), Mentha piperita (Peppermint Oil), Citrus limon (Lemon Oil), Backhousia citriodora (Lemon Myrtle Oil), Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Cymbopogon winterianus (Citronella Oil), Melaleuca quinquenervia (Nerolina Oil), Santalum spicatum (Australian Sandalwood Oil), Melaleuca ericifolia (Rosalina Oil), Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus Oil), Myroxylon balsamum (Peru Balsam Oil).

Sun Exposure Warning: If applying citrus essential oils or blends that contain citrus topically avoid direct sunlight for 12 hours as they may cause photosensitivity.

Are these essential oils safe to use during pregnancy? Essential oils can be used with care during pregnancy, ideally in a diffuser or diluted with a carrier oil at a 1% ratio. Avoid using essential oils during the first trimester unless under the guidance of a qualified practitioner. For more information, see our full list of pregnancy-safe oils in our FAQs.

Are these essential oils safe for children? Keep all essential oils out of children’s reach at all times. Essential oils are generally too strong for babies under 24 months and may overwhelm their developing systems. When diffusing, use fewer drops than you would for adults (around 2-3 drops). Are these essential oils safe to use around pets? We do not recommend using Citrus, Eucalyptus, Peppermint or Ylang Ylang ingredients around pets. Always store essential oils out of reach, and if you have any concerns, consult your veterinarian. Can I ingest this essential oil? Essential oils should not be taken internally unless advised by a qualified health professional or aromatherapist.

DIY Calming Body Massage Oil

Create a nourishing massage oil to help you unwind at the end of the day while leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated.

Ingredients:

  • 30ml Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  • 5 drops Lavender Pure Essential Oil
  • 3 drops Cedarwood Pure Essential Oil

Instructions:

  1. Add the Lavender and Cedarwood Pure Essential Oils to a 30ml glass bottle.
