Below is an all-natural bath bomb recipe you can make in advance for the next time you feel like a relaxing bath!

Best essential oils for the bath

Lavender

Lavender essential oil is popular for its relaxing and healing qualities, and has been known to improve sleep and general wellbeing. An important essential oil for skin, Lavender has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and skin regenerating properties.

Rose 3%

With antidepressant and sedative properties, Rose can help ease our way through mood changes. Beautiful to treat dry, inflamed and sensitive skin.

Jasmine 3%

The exotic sweet floral aroma of Jasmine essential oil is warming and comforting to the emotions. It is said to inspire trust and confidence while restoring us from lower moods, emotional disconnection and lethargy. Great for dry and irritated skin.

Ylang Ylang

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is sedating and may help with feelings of depression, irritation and anger. Known for its soothing and comforting qualities, Ylang Ylang can have a calming effect on the nervous system and an uplifting effect on your mood. May soften the skin and improve skin appearance.

Geranium

Method


1. In a large bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid and epsom salt

2. Add the jojoba oil and water and mix together with hands until the mixture binds together. You can add more oil to make the consistency more sticky.

3. Add the essential oils and dried flower petals (if any) and mix again

4. Transfer the mixture into the mold, pressing firmly to ensure it is well compacted

5. Allow to set at room temperature for 24 hours

6. Remove from the mold and store in a glass container until use
