Lavender is the most commonly known essential oil to help with relaxation and sleep. Woody essential oils such as Cedarwood are great at bringing you back down to earth and keeping you grounded. Floral essential oils such as Rose, Ylang Ylang or Geranium have beautiful sedative qualities
Yes absolutely. Lavender induces calm with its sedating and cooling nature. Use sparingly to encourage sleep, 1 drop on the pillow should be enough. Too much Lavender can have the opposite effect and become stimulating.
Add 6-8 drops to your diffuser 30minutes prior to bedtime, this will help fill the room with a relaxing aroma. Take a deep inhalation straight from the bottle before bed, add 1-2 drops into the corner of your shower before bed, apply topically by adding 1 drop to 5ml carrier oil and apply to neck, chest and wrists. You can also add 1 drop to you pillow before you sleep.
