Clary Sage can be used to help ease menopausal symptoms, reduce spasming and painful periods and help encourage regular and healthy cycles. Invaluable in the delivery room, Clary Sage can help the anxieties of the parents to be and help with the workload of labour.
Clary Sage can be used to treat excessive perspiration and to help regulate oil production. Therefore, it is useful in the management of an oily complexion. It can be added to shampoo to control oily hair or used as a tonic to improve the scalp.
A strong and distinct scent, Clary Sage adds a sweet, herbaceous and musky tone to a blend.
Clary Sage blends well with florals like Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Geranium and citrus oils.

Massage: Use a 2.5% dilution; up to 15 drops per 30ml carrier oil.
Bath: Add up to 5 drops in a dispersant, such as carrier oil or milk, to the bath.
Hand or foot bath: Add 2 drops of essential oil to a bowl of water.
Compress: Add 2 drops of essential oil to a bowl of water. For treating inflammation or to cool down use cold to room temperature water. For aching tight muscles use warm to hot water. Agitate a face washer in the water, wring out excess moisture and apply washer to the affected area. Repeat two or three times as the compress cools down or warms up. Apply to the abdomen and lower back to help reduce menstrual cramping and pain.
Steam Treatment: For face & respiratory, add 2 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming hot water. Place your face close to the bowl and cover the back of your head and bowl with a towel to trap the aromatic vapours. Caution due to risk of burns or scalding and keep eyes covered during treatment.
