I get it, essential oils can be overwhelming! There's pure essential oils, blends, rollerballs and kits, there's floral, woody, herbal, citrus, you can use them in your diffuser, bath, massage.. where do you start!? And what do they actually do?
I've loved essential oils for a long time, but it's not since working closely with ECO. that I've really begun to understand their amazing wellbeing benefits for mind and body. Here are some of my favourite ways that essential oils can enhance your wellbeing..
1. Encourage positivity: when we’re acting from a place of happiness, positivity and light, everything feels easier and more enjoyable. When we choose to look for the good in all situations and people, we unconsciously attract more of that goodness into our life; likewise when we focus on the bad, that’s what we’re going to welcome in. To help maintain a positive mood, fresh, light, citrus oils are the best choice. Try vaporising Sweet Orange, Mandarin, Grapefruit, Tangerine or Bergamot in your home or workplace.
2. Lift the gloominess: when we’re feeling down it can be really difficult to look at the situation objectively and shake the feeling. Acknowledging the reason we’re feeling down is a great first step to understanding the temporary nature of the feeling, and moving back towards the sunshine. Essential oils can also support you in getting back on your feet. Essential oils such as Roman Chamomile, Lavender and Clary Sage will all help to create a calm and nurturing atmosphere to let go of those feelings. Try adding a few drops of these oils to a relaxing bath.
