The beautiful, fresh and invigorating aroma of Peppermint essential oil is uplifting and therapeutic for the mind and body. Peppermint is both cooling and heating and makes a wonderful analgesic remedy for tired and aching muscles. Helpful for headaches, a lymphatic stimulant and can assist in sinus relief.

Diffuser: Add 6-8 drops to your diffuser to refresh the senses and promote mental clarity.
Massage: Use a 1% dilution; 20 drops per 100ml/3.38fl.oz carrier oil as a maximum. Peppermint has a strong aroma and powerful effect, therefore a small number of drops is enough to provide therapeutic effect.
Bath: Add 2 drops, in a dispersant such as oil, to the bath.
Hand or foot bath: Add 1 to 2 drops of essential oil to a bowl of water. For inflammation consider using cold/room temperature water. For aches and tight muscles use warm/hot water.
Steam treatment (respiratory system): Add 1 drop of essential oil to a bowl of steaming hot water. Use caution due to risk of burns or scalding, and keep eyes covered during treatment as peppermint steam may cause irritation
Compress: To a bowl of water add 2 drops of essential oil. For treating inflammation or to cool down use cold to room temperature water, for aching tight muscles use warm to hot water. Soak a face washer in the water, wring out excess moisture and apply washer to the affected area, repeat two or three times as the compress cools down or warms up.
Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Cypress, Lemon, Lime, Pine, Rosemary and Marjoram.
Considerations: Avoid during pregnancy and is not recommended for babies and small children. Peppermint oil is an antidote to homeopathic remedies and should be avoided during homeopathic treatment.
